Poland's budget deficit to reach PLN16 billion by end of April
17 April 2009
Poland is likely to reach the end April with its budget deficit back in line with government targets after a one-off leap in March, deputy Finance Minister Elzbieta Suchocka-Roguska says.
This would put the deficit near the PLN 16 billion mark, or 88 per cent of the annual planned gap of PLN18.2 bln, Warsaw Voice reports.
"We won't likely have a lower deficit after April than we planned in the agenda," Suchocka-Roguska said.
Poland's budget was in a deficit of PLN10.61 billion at the end of March against a budgeted annual deficit of PLN 18.2 billion, the Finance Ministry announced this week.
