The latest figures published by the Czech Statistical Office show that economic downturn is still having negative impact on the labour market.

The unemployment in Q2 2009 increased to 6.4%, which is 2.2% more on yearly comparison.

At the same time, the employment rate reached 65.4% - down by 1.2% compared to Q2 2008.
