How has the Global Credit Crunch affected Central and Eastern European (CEE) property markets? Are property markets about to crash?

Six months in, and the credit crunch headlines just keep coming. So how bad, how long and how widespread is the effect of the credit crunch going to be? And where should property investors look to buy now?...our expert panel wil advise you where and why at the second in our series of Investor Evenings this year.

At our March Investor Evening, we aim to answer these questions and provide you with honest, well researched and educated views from industry experts. What the crisis means for the future of property investment, in particular the CEE markets and why you should steer clear of the UK right now.

At Property Secrets, we believe that CEE and secure emerging markets are the best places to invest right now due to lower lending rates and higher loan to value mortgages fuelling property price growth. We feel the UK should be avoided for now as the credit crisis has left lending more difficult and property prices frozen, which we anticipate will be the situation for at least the next 12 months.

Finance markets – the real driver of growth

Noreen Lucey, Property Secrets Chief Analyst will take a thorough look at the finance markets in some of the key CEE markets and explain how finance can help drive markets upwards in the current slow climate.

As mortgage markets mature and more products become available locals can afford to buy. This results in a surge in property purchasing driving property prices upwards.

Noreen will have a look at what impact this has on markets and economies, covering the following:
