Property Secrets’ November Investor Evening was without doubt our best yet

Attended by 130 of our investor members and their guests, there was a fantastic buzz in the great auditorium of the Grange City Hotel at Tower

Hill

Simon Tweddle updated members on the impact of the credit crunch. "There are no clear signs yet that the UK market is going to crash. The mortgage market has become softer and approvals for other loans and further advances have fallen to their lowest levels in six years." Simon believes we are likely to see far weaker house price growth and much lower lending volumes going into 2008.

Property Secrets believes very strongly that the Central and Eastern European markets are highly likely to remain largely unaffected by the credit crisis and will in fact prove to be relatively safe havens for investors.

Simon then went on to make his 2008 property price predictions, using a combination of fuzzy analysis and economic evidence. The now famous Tweddle’s traffic light system showed members the hot, and not so hot, property markets for 2008. Simon shared where in the world he advised to invest to make the most money and took questions from the floor about how to spot the best markets to invest in.

PS Investment Director, Simon Blakebrough, gave an unparalleled insight into our very stringent property deal selection criteria, giving our members a clear understanding of what makes a good deal as well as how Property Secrets achieves the golden rule of buying Below Market Value (BMV).

Members then took the opportunity to wine, dine and network with fellow investors; meeting old friends, putting faces to names from the forums and making new contacts. It was definitely a challenge to bring everyone back to their tables for the second part of the evening!
Investor Members

Steve Desmond, PS Investment Broker, gave an overview and a preview of the latest Below Market Value deals in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria (Sofia) and Romania. Members who attended the Investor Evening had an exclusive opportunity to pre-register for their chosen investments and as a result will had a much better chance of obtaining a unit – the last THREE deals in Central and Eastern Europe were over-subscribed and completely sold out!

After the evening was formally brought to a close, members and guests continued networking, as well as grabbing the chance to have a one-to-one with the analysts and brokers.
